Tony Bellew tonight reassured the boxing fraternity of his belonging at world level as he claimed the WBC international light heavyweight belt by stopping 31-year-old Columbian Edison Miranda midway through the ninth round, with an outstanding tactical performance in Matchroom’s season-opener, London Calling, at Alexandra Palace.
